1. Can you share a bit about your background and how you first got involved with our organization?
I am a Registered Nurse a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration. I have worked in healthcare all of my career and I can’t imagine doing anything else! I first became involved with the WB Chamber as an Ambassador and then joined the Board of Directors in 2024. I wanted to become more connected with the work of the Chamber to promote businesses and services in our community. The experience has been valuable and provided me with opportunities to share the work of the Chamber with others.

2. Beyond your role on the board, what are your personal and professional passions?
In my spare time you will find me at the lake or in the kitchen. I love to cook and bake and enjoy entertaining for family and friends. Healthcare has always been my passion. I started as a nursing assistant years ago and knew healthcare was my calling. I love working with people and Nursing is a profession with numerous career pathways and endless opportunities. I appreciate the leadership opportunities I have been given in my career and would describe myself as a “continuous learner”. Healthcare is always changing and its important to stay at the forefront of change. I look for opportunities to support personal and professional growth and am fortunate to work for an organization who encourages and supports my professional goals.

3. What inspired you to join the board, and what motivates you to contribute to our organization's success?
I want to work with others to promote businesses and events in our community. We have so many dedicated community members who volunteer their time and want to see our community grow and thrive for years to come; I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with so many of them. Collectively we all have time and talents to be shared that make us stronger when we work together.
4. Do you have a favorite memory or accomplishment during your time on the board?
I have appreciated the opportunity to learn from others through my board experience and look forward to supporting the Chamber with future events and activities. I enjoy the Fall Mix-n-Mingle and Chamber Chats as both are great networking opportunities.
5. What advice would you give to someone considering joining the board or getting more involved in community service?
Just do it! Everyone has time and talents to be shared and collectively we can make such a difference when we all work together. The networking and relationships we build along create opportunities to make our community stronger and often lead to lifelong friendships. Giving back to our communities is extremely rewarding and I appreciate the investment Essentia Health has made in many in of our communities along with the support and encouragement they provide in allowing me to be a part of the WB Chamber. I am vested in the community and want to be a part of our community’s work.
