Meet an Ambassador: Ashley Mohs!
Meet Ashley Mohs, a dedicated Twin Towns Ambassador and Breckenridge native. With 7 years at First Community Credit Union, Ashley is passionate about community growth, cherishes time with family at the lake, and loves supporting small businesses.
1. Can you share a bit about your background and how you first got involved with our organization?
I grew up in Breckenridge and have been working at First Community Credit Union for the last 7 years. A past coworker had brought it up to join TTA as I wanted to be more involved within our community.
2. Beyond your role with the ambassadors, what are your personal and professional passions?
Personal: I enjoy spending time at the lake and being with friends and family. If I’m not at the lake, I am trying to keep up with my 4-year-old at the zoo.
Professional: growing within FCCU and being where I am in my career today.
3. What inspired you to join the TTA, and what motivates you to contribute to our organization’s success?
I had expressed to FCCU that I wanted to be more involved within our community. Which had led me to TTA. I want to see our small towns succeed and grow.
4. Do you have a favorite memory or accomplishment during your time with the TTA??
The spotlight that was my favorite was The Jewelers Daughter. She provided a lot of history on why she wanted to create her business and there is a lot of meaning behind her business name.
5. What advice would you give to someone considering joining, or getting more involved in community service?
Start with a small volunteer opportunity. If you are successful, I would suggest reaching for something bigger. As in a local organization, clubs or nonprofit that aligns within your values.
6. Share a fun or interesting fact about yourself that most people might not know.
Growing up, I wanted to be a flight attendant.
